(…) There is a list of people in my life that are all there for very specific reasons. They are my strength, power and love. But today, on EXTRA love day, as I am calling it this year, this post also goes out to my brother.
I am going to share the note I sent him this morning, and hopefully, this will not embarrass him. The reason I wanted to share this is because of what I love about this photo. The pure JOY that is on his face. This is the way he has always been. He has always taught me about love, and I am not sure he even knows how many ways in which he has helped. He is KIND, THOUGHTFUL and knows how to SHARE. My Mom always told me, “He loves you, you don’t even know how much looks up to you.” I guess I never knew because I never truly saw him as my YOUNGER brother. He was my playmate, best friend, we would laugh and create games, magick playgrounds, you name it. He was my equal. We’ve fought at times, but throughout it all there has always been love. It was this time last year he was visiting me in LA, and since he is not here with me today, I am sharing a piece of him with you, the piece I will be thinking about all throughout today.
I don’t know why this affected me so much, I found myself literally in tears. It’s so simple and yet so true and full of love, TRUE LOVE, which is the one just family can give you. I mean, how great is it that she “dedicated” Valentine’s day to her younger brother? Dianna is really one of a kind!
